For some time now (well over a year) I have been thinking about training to become an accredited writing/book coach. This came about as I often receive requests to do a developmental edit for new authors, but sometimes an edit isn’t enough, or rather, it isn’t the right service and a one-to-one approach is required.

After a lot of umming and ahing and wondering if it’s the right thing to do, I decided to sign up for the Author Accelerator book coach course — and I cannot wait to get started.

The plan is to work through all the modules, which take you from working with an initial idea through to seeking an agent and then apply for accreditation, which involves having my coaching skills assessed on a client’s manuscripts (with their approval, of course).
