For some time now (well over a year) I have had my eyes on training to be a writing/book coach. This came about as I often receive requests to do a developmental edit for very new authors, but sometimes an edit isn’t enough, or rather, it isn’t the right service for that particular author – a more on-hand/one-to-one approach is required.

After a lot of umming and erring and wondering if it’s the right thing to do, I decided to sign up for the Author Accelerator book coach course – and I cannot wait to get started.

The plan is to work through all the modules – which take you from working with an initial idea through to seeking an agent – and then apply for accreditation, which involves having my coaching skills assessed on actual client manuscripts (with their approval, of course).
