I received a lovely email this morning from the Society for Editors and Proofreaders, confirming my application had been successful and informing me that I am from this moment on an associate member.
My next step is to undertake my first training course with them – Proofreading – and I’m going to sign up for that in early December, to avoid it clashing with my university assignment.
I’m feeling rather proud of myself at the moment. Next on the to do list is make my business venture legitimate and register with Inland Revenue.
