So… Nanowrimo has arrived, and as per usual, it has taken me a couple of days to get into it. Not helped by the fact I was down London for a friend’s 40th birthday party and didn’t get home until the 2nd, but hey-ho, I’m on the case now. Having lost the majority of my writing in a cloud storage disaster, I am going to be a Nano-rebel this year. Over the past few months, I’ve been doing a little rewriting and had a word count of about 20k before the 1st November arrived (obviously I’m only counting new writing towards my Nanowrimo counts). In November 2009 I discovered Nanowrimo – a worldwide writing challenge with one goal – write a complete novel with a minimum of 50,000 words, and so I did. I signed up, I wrote solidly for thirty days, and I completed my novel. I even did a little editing before tucking it inside my hard drive, and then I forgot about it – on purpose. It was awful.
